Job summary

Ambipar is seeking a Field Technician to support on‑site field operations, including equipment operation, hazardous and non‑hazardous waste management, and site remediation. The role requires strict safety adherence, physical endurance, and flexibility for emergency response and overtime.

The position reports to a Project Supervisor, is on‑site, full‑time, non‑exempt and hourly, with travel up to 40%. Candidates must have a high school diploma, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to obtain

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Ability to obtain and maintain certifications for confined space entry and hazardous material handling.
• Strong commitment to safety and compliance.
• Excellent physical stamina and ability to perform heavy lifting and manual labor.
• Flexibility to work irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate equipment and vehicles in compliance with policies.
• Be available for on‑call emergency response services including cleanup of waste spills and site remediation.
• Perform confined space entry and tank cleaning following safety guidelines.
• Be available for overtime and out‑of‑town assignments as needed.
• Engage in strenuous physical activities and move heavy equipment safely.
• Complete time sheets, logs, and documentation promptly.
• Maintain clean and organized work areas for safety and efficiency.
• Handle, package, and transport hazardous materials per regulatory guidelines.
• Conduct site assessments to identify potential environmental hazards.
• Assist in labeling, storage, and documentation of hazardous waste.
• Use field instruments to monitor hazardous material levels and ensure safety compliance.
• Participate in regular safety training and hazmat drills.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
