Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an Environmental Remediation Intern to support field activities and project delivery in Virginia Beach or Reston, VA. You will work with project managers, scientists, geologists, and engineers to execute soil and groundwater sampling, and system maintenance while preparing scopes of work and technical reports.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in degree program in Geology, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science or closely related field.
• Completed at least two years of collegiate coursework.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office programs.
• Willingness to perform field work.
• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Driver's license required.
• Ability to work in Reston, VA or Virginia Beach, VA.

Responsibilities

• Assist project managers, scientists, geologists and engineers with environmental services.
• Perform field activities including soil and groundwater sampling; assist with remediation systems maintenance.
• Prepare scopes of work for subcontracts and conduct data analysis of field and lab data.
• Create technical reports documenting activities and results.
