Job summary

Baxter is hiring for a role in Environmental Monitoring within Quality. You will conduct microbiological analyses, operate sampling instruments, and ensure data integrity to support regulatory compliance. This position emphasizes collaboration across Quality, Operations, Manufacturing and Engineering to address issues and drive continuous improvement.

Applicants must have a B.S. in a related science and prefer 1 year in pharma/med device.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in Microbiology, Biology, or related science.
• Minimum 1 year experience in Pharmaceutical/Medical Device industry preferred.
• Strong communication and project management skills.
• Possess knowledge of core manufacturing and support systems.
• Computer literate/knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel).
• Good interpersonal skills and able to work in a team-based environment.
• Aseptic use and handling of media plates and swabs for EM sampling.
• Requires minimal direction and strong organizational skills.
• Basic understanding of laboratory instrumentation.
• Knowledge of GDPs and Good Documentation Practices.
• Able to manage multiple tasks/priorities timely.
• Knowledge of FDA quality system regulations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct microbiological analyses on raw materials, in-process and finished products.
• Use laboratory instrumentation and computer systems to collect and record data.
• Complete testing including protocol testing in line with cGMP regulations.
• Maintain data integrity and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Operate SAS Air Sampler and Climet Particle Counter for sampling.
• Perform surface sampling testing using plate or swab methods.
• Collect water samples weekly/monthly across the facility.
• Perform weekly and monthly HEPA inspections in clean-rooms.
• Conduct weekly Real Time Risk Assessments to identify contamination issues.
• Perform IMD testing and review Environmental Events/Deviations.
• Develop relationships with Quality Operations/ Manufacturing/ Engineering for corrective actions.
• Sustain a clean and safe work environment applying 6S.
