Job summary

Baxter is seeking an Environmental Microbiology specialist to support environmental monitoring and cGMP testing. The role focuses on surface testing, air monitoring, data collection, and regulatory compliance within a Quality-driven environment.

The position requires a B.S. in Microbiology or related science, with 1 year of pharma/medical device experience preferred, and strong documentation and communication skills. On-site role with comprehensive benefits is offered.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in Microbiology, Biology, or related science.
• Minimum 1 year experience in Pharmaceutical/Medical Device industry preferred.
• Strong communication and project management skills.
• Possess knowledge of core manufacturing and support systems.
• Computer literate with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
• Good documentation skills and knowledge of GDPs.

Responsibilities

• Conduct microbiological analyses on raw materials, in-process and finished products.
• Use laboratory instrumentation and computer systems to collect and record data.
• Complete all testing per local procedures and cGMP regulations.
• Maintain data integrity and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Operate SAS Air Sampler and Climet Particle Counter for sample collection.
• Perform surface testing using plate and swab methods.
• Collect water samples weekly/monthly.
• Perform weekly/monthly HEPA inspections in clean rooms.
• Conduct Real Time Risk Assessments (RTRA) for contamination issues.
• IMD testing and review of Environmental Events/Deviations for documentation.
• Develop relationships with Quality Operations/ Manufacturing/Engineering for corrective actions.
• Sustain a clean and safe work environment following 6S principles.
