Job summary

Baxter is seeking a microbiology-focused Environmental Monitoring Specialist to maintain test programs in cleanrooms and support regulatory compliance. You will perform microbiological analyses on raw materials, in-process and finished products, operate SAS Air Sampler and Climet Counter, and document results with accuracy across cGMP standards.

Ideal candidates hold a B.S. in Microbiology or related science, 1 year in pharma/medical device, and strong communication and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in Microbiology, Biology, or related science.
• Minimum 1 year experience in Pharmaceutical/Medical Device industry preferred.
• Strong communication and project management skills.
• Knowledge of core manufacturing and support systems.
• Computer literate (Word, Excel) and good interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in aseptic use and handling of media plates and swabs for EM sampling.
• Familiarity with FDA quality system regulations is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct microbiological analyses on raw materials, in-process and finished products.
• Operate laboratory instrumentation and collect data using computer systems.
• Complete testing including special project testing in line with cGMP.
• Maintain data integrity and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Operate SAS Air Sampler and Climet Particle Counter for sampling.
• Perform surface sampling using plate and swab methods.
• Collect water samples weekly and monthly throughout the facility.
• Perform HEPA inspections and weekly Real Time Risk Assessments.
• Review Environmental Events/Deviations and support corrective actions.
