Job summary

Pace Analytical Services, LLC in Lombard, IL is hiring for a Scientist 1 to perform hands-on environmental testing in our laboratory. This full-time, onsite role runs Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM, with a compensation of $20.00 per hour.

You will operate instruments such as GC, HPLC, and ICP, analyze air, water and soil samples, document results, and help maintain quality records. A Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related sciences is required or an equivalent

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related sciences.
• Equivalent education/experience acceptable with training.

Responsibilities

• Work with instruments such as GC, HPLC, ICP and more.
• Analyze air, water, and soil samples using established chemistry and biochemistry methods looking for environmental contaminants.
• Review and interpret the results from the sample analysis.
• Accurately document procedures, observations, and results to maintain high-quality, organized laboratory records.
• Clean, maintain, and calibrate laboratory instruments and equipment.
