Pace Lombard, IL is seeking a Scientist 1 for an on-site, full-time role. You will analyze air, water, and soil samples using GC, HPLC, ICP and related chemistry methods, ensuring data quality and proper documentation in a regulatory-lab environment.

You will work Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM–5:30 PM, with training provided as needed. A bachelor’s degree in chemistry/biochemistry and the ability to operate in a lab with PPE are required; compensation is $20/hour with benefits typical of Pace.”

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related field; training provided.
• Ability to work in a lab environment, including standing for long periods, handling odors, and wearing PPE.

Responsabilités

• Analyze air, water, and soil samples using established chemistry and biochemistry methods.
• Review and interpret results from sample analysis.
• Document procedures, observations and results to maintain quality records.
• Calibrate, clean and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment.
