Job summary

Pace® Analytical Services is seeking a Scientist for our environmental testing laboratory. You will perform hands-on analysis, ensuring the integrity and accuracy of environmental data that impact communities and ecosystems.

The role involves operating GC, HPLC, and ICP, analyzing air, water, and soil samples, and maintaining meticulous records. A chemistry-related bachelor’s degree and lab PPE experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related STEM field is required or equivalent experience.
• Ability to work effectively in a laboratory environment, including standing for extended periods, handling odors, and wearing PPE.

Responsibilities

• Operate instruments such as GC, HPLC, ICP and similar equipment.
• Analyze air, water, and soil samples using established chemistry methods to identify contaminants.
• Review and interpret results from the sample analysis.
• Document procedures, observations, and results clearly to maintain quality records.
• Clean, maintain, and calibrate laboratory instruments and equipment.
