Job summary

Pace-Analytical-Services-LL is seeking a Scientist 1 for our Lombard, IL laboratory. This full-time, onsite role runs Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM and focuses on environmental sample analysis to support safe, healthier communities.

You will operate GC, HPLC, ICP and other instruments to ensure data integrity and compliance. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or Biochemistry or related sciences, with training provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or other science related degrees; training provided.
• Ability to work effectively in a laboratory environment, including standing, PPE use, and handling odors.

Responsibilities

• Work with instruments such as GC, HPLC, ICP and more.
• Analyze air, water, and soil samples using established chemistry and biochemistry methods looking for environmental contaminants.
• Review and interpret the results from the sample analysis.
• Accurately document procedures, observations, and results to maintain high-quality, organized laboratory records.
• Clean, maintain, and calibrate laboratory instruments and equipment.
