Job summary

Pace Analytical Services is seeking a Scientist 1 for our environmental testing laboratory in Lombard, IL. This full‑time, onsite role involves hands‑on analysis and ensuring the accuracy of environmental data that protects communities and ecosystems.

You will operate instruments such as GC, HPLC, and ICP, analyze air, water, and soil samples, and document procedures and results. Bachelor’s in Chemistry or Biochemistry required; training provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related science.
• Willing to train; capable of working in a lab with PPE.

Responsibilities

• Operate instruments such as GC, HPLC, ICP and related equipment.
• Analyze air, water, and soil samples for environmental contaminants.
• Review and interpret analysis results.
• Document procedures, observations, and results clearly.
• Calibrate and maintain laboratory instruments.
