Job summary

Pace Labs is seeking a Scientist 1 for our environmental testing laboratory in Peoria, IL. This full-time, onsite role runs Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with a wage of $17.00 per hour.

You will perform hands-on analysis to ensure accurate environmental data that supports community health and safety. Responsibilities include operating GC, HPLC, ICP, analyzing air, water, and soil samples, and documenting procedures and results.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related science.
• Ability to work in a laboratory environment with PPE provided.
• Willingness to work in a lab setting and maintain accurate records.

Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on analysis in the lab using GC, HPLC, ICP.
• Analyze air, water, and soil samples for environmental contaminants.
• Review and interpret analysis results and document procedures and observations.
• Calibrate, clean, and maintain laboratory instruments.
