Job summary

Pace is seeking a Scientist 1 for our Peoria, IL laboratory. This full-time, on-site role involves hands-on analysis of environmental samples using instrumentation such as GC, HPLC, and ICP to ensure data quality for environmental monitoring.

You will document procedures and results, review analyses, and maintain equipment. A bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or Biochemistry or related field is required, and PPE is provided by Pace.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or other science-related field (or equivalent).
• Experience working in a laboratory setting and ability to wear PPE.

Responsibilities

• Operate instruments (GC, HPLC, ICP) to analyze environmental samples (air, water, soil).
• Review and interpret analytical results.
• Document procedures, observations and results with high accuracy.
• Calibrate, clean, and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment.
