Job summary

Pace® Analytical Services in Peoria, IL is seeking a Scientist 1 for an on-site, full-time role Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. You will analyze air, water and soil samples using GC, HPLC and ICP and document results accurately.

You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or Biochemistry (or equivalent) and can work in a lab environment with PPE. We offer a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities to advance in environmental science.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related science; or equivalent experience.
• Ability to work effectively in a laboratory environment and wear PPE.

Responsibilities

• Work with instruments such as GC, HPLC, ICP and more
• Analyze air, water, and soil samples using established chemistry and biochemistry methods looking for environmental contaminants
• Review and interpret the results from the sample analysis
• Accurately document procedures, observations, and results to maintain high-quality, organized laboratory records
• Clean, maintain, and calibrate laboratory instruments and equipment

Education
