Job summary

Dow in Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta, Canada seeks an EH&S Program Specialist to develop and maintain safety programs, ensure regulatory compliance, and lead continuous improvement in workplace safety. The role includes risk assessment, training, and supporting the Fort Saskatchewan Path2Zero initiative toward net-zero emissions.

You will lead daily EH&S activities, advise plant teams on environmental and health & safety policies, and drive timely completion of compliance tasks while coaching

Qualifications

• Minimum education: High School Diploma or GED.
• At least 3 years of EH&S/OH&S experience.
• Canada work authorization; visa sponsorship not available.

Responsibilities

• Leads the execution of daily EH&S programs by implementing safety standards and protocols.
• Ensures plant operations meet EH&S performance expectations with best practices.
• Provides guidance on EH&S policies and acts as a resource for plant teams.
• Functions as the primary contact for environmental, industrial hygiene, and health & safety inquiries.
• Coaches employees on EH&S procedures and responsibilities.
• Contributes to EH&S goals for the plant and oversees timely compliance tasks.
• Conducts environmental and industrial hygiene evaluations and reports findings.
