Job summary

Dow is seeking an EH&S Program Specialist in Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta, to develop and maintain safety programs, ensuring regulatory compliance and driving continuous safety improvements. This role supports the P2Z net-zero initiative and provides expert EH&S guidance to plant teams.

You will lead daily EH&S programs, perform risk assessments, and coach colleagues on safe work practices while ensuring regulatory adherence and organizational safety goals.

Qualifications

• Minimum educational qualification: High School Diploma or GED.
• At least 3 years of EH&S/OHS or related field experience.
• Canada applicants must be legally authorized to work; visa sponsorship is not available.

Responsibilities

• Leads the execution of daily EH&S programs by implementing safety standards and protocols.
• Ensures plant operations meet EH&S performance expectations using best practices in safety and environmental management.
• Provides guidance on EH&S policies and serves as a resource for plant teams.
• Acts as primary contact for environmental, industrial hygiene, and health & safety inquiries.
• Supports and coaches employees on EH&S procedures and responsibilities.
• Contributes to achieving EH&S goals for the plant.
• Oversees timely completion of compliance-related tasks.
• Conducts environmental and industrial hygiene evaluations and reports findings.
