Dow is seeking an EH&S Program Specialist to develop and maintain safety programs, ensuring regulatory compliance and driving continuous safety improvements at our Fort Saskatchewan site in Alberta, Canada.

The role focuses on risk assessment, training, and supporting the Path2Zero initiative to pursue net-zero emissions while collaborating with plant teams and stakeholders to meet EH&S objectives.

Qualifications

• Minimum education: High School Diploma or GED.
• At least 3 years of experience in EH&S or OH&S or related field.
• Canada work authorization required; visa sponsorship not available.

Responsibilities

• Leads daily EH&S programs by implementing safety standards and protocols.
• Ensures plant operations meet EH&S performance expectations using best practices in safety and environmental management.
• Provides guidance on EH&S policies and serves as a resource for plant teams.
• Acts as primary contact for environmental, industrial hygiene, and health & safety inquiries.
• Coaches employees on EH&S procedures and responsibilities.
• Contributes to EH&S goals for the plant and oversees timely compliant tasks.
• Conducts or manages environmental/industrial hygiene evaluations and reports findings for regulatory adherence.
