Job summary

Dow is seeking an EH&S Program Specialist for Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta, Canada to develop and maintain safety programs, ensuring regulatory compliance while driving continuous improvement in workplace safety. You will lead risk assessments and training to support operational excellence.

The role supports the Fort Saskatchewan Path2Zero initiative, a major project toward net-zero emissions, reinforcing Dow’s commitment to sustainability and safe, compliant plant operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum educational qualification: High School Diploma or GED.
• 3+ years of experience in Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) or related field.
• Canada: legal authorization to work; visa sponsorship not available.

Responsibilities

• Leads the execution of daily EH&S programs by implementing established safety standards and protocols.
• Ensures plant operations meet EH&S performance expectations by applying best practices in safety and environmental management.
• Provides guidance on EH&S policies and acts as a resource for plant teams.
• Interfaces as primary contact for environmental, industrial hygiene, and health & safety inquiries.
• Supports and coaches employees on EH&S procedures and responsibilities.
• Contributes to the development and achievement of EH&S goals for the plant.
• Oversees compliance-related tasks and ensures timely completion.
• Conducts or manages environmental and industrial hygiene evaluations; reports findings for regulatory adherence.
