Job summary

Dow in Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta, is seeking an EH&S Program Specialist to develop and maintain safety programs, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive continuous safety improvements.

You will lead risk assessments and provide guidance on EH&S policies, supporting Dow's Path2Zero initiative toward net-zero emissions at the site.

The role emphasizes coaching plant teams, timely compliance tasks, and collaboration across EH&S disciplines to protect people and the environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• At least 3 years of experience in Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) or related field.
• Canada candidates must have legal authorization to work; visa sponsorship is not available.

Responsibilities

• Leads daily EH&S programs by implementing safety standards and protocols.
• Ensures plant operations meet EH&S performance expectations with best practices.
• Provides guidance on EH&S policies and acts as a resource for plant teams.
• Serves as primary contact for environmental, industrial hygiene, and health & safety inquiries.
• Coaches employees on EH&S procedures and responsibilities.
• Contributes to EH&S goals for the plant and ensures timely completion of compliance tasks.
• Conducts or oversees environmental/hygiene evaluations and reports findings for regulatory adherence.
