Job summary

Dow seeks an EH&S Program Specialist to develop and maintain safety programs, ensuring regulatory compliance and continuous improvement in workplace safety. You will manage risk assessments, training, and environmental hygiene evaluations to support operational excellence in Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta, Canada.

Qualifications

• Minimum educational qualification: High School Diploma or GED.
• At least 3 years of experience in Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S), Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S), or a related field.
• For candidates applying in Canada, legal authorization to work in the country is required. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Responsibilities

• Leads the execution of daily EH&S programs by implementing established safety standards and protocols.
• Ensures plant operations meet EH&S performance expectations by applying best practices in safety and environmental management.
• Provides guidance and expertise on EH&S-related policies, acting as a resource for plant teams.
• Functions as the primary point of contact for environmental, industrial hygiene, and health & safety inquiries.
• Supports and coaches employees on EH&S-related procedures and responsibilities.
• Contributes to the development and achievement of EH&S goals for the plant.
• Oversees and ensures timely completion of compliance-related tasks.
• Conducts or manages environmental and industrial hygiene evaluations, reporting key findings for regulatory adherence.
