Job summary

Dow is seeking an EH&S Program Specialist for the Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta area. You will develop and maintain safety programs, ensuring regulatory compliance and continuous improvement in workplace safety. This role supports the Path2Zero initiative toward net-zero emissions.

You will lead daily EH&S programs, guide plant teams, and coordinate environmental, industrial hygiene, and health & safety inquiries, driving safety excellence across operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum educational qualification: High School Diploma or GED.
• At least 3 years of experience in Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S), Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S), or related field.
• Canada work authorization required; visa sponsorship is not available.

Responsibilities

• Leads daily EH&S programs by implementing established safety standards and protocols.
• Ensures plant operations meet EH&S performance expectations using best practices in safety and environmental management.
• Provides guidance on EH&S policies and acts as a resource for plant teams.
• Functions as primary contact for environmental, industrial hygiene, and health & safety inquiries.
• Supports and coaches employees on EH&S procedures and responsibilities.
• Contributes to the development and achievement of EH&S goals for the plant.
• Oversees and ensures timely completion of compliance-related tasks.
• Conducts or manages environmental and industrial hygiene evaluations, reporting findings for regulatory adherence.
