Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Team Leader to oversee and grow the Geospatial team in the Great Lakes region (WI, IL, IN, OH, MI, MN). This leadership role reports to the BC Operating Leader and collaborates with BC leaders to manage workload, staff development, and new business opportunities.

Demanding responsibilities include project oversight, budget management, YEPR and compensation reviews, and cross-disciplinary collaboration while maintaining a strong health and safety culture.

Qualifications

• Proficient with Esri ArcGIS software suite including ArcGIS Pro, ArcMap, ArcGIS Online and Field Maps.
• Advanced knowledge of Esri products.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to write clear proposals and reports.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Oversee geospatial and data services activities within the Great Lakes region.
• Strategize and coordinate project assignments for efficient execution.
• Manage projects, including spatial data workflows, budgets, and timelines.
• Monitor staff utilization; collaborate with BC leadership to support growth.
• Lead YEPR and compensation review processes per policy.
• Foster strong client relationships and cross-team collaboration.
• Lead business development for geospatial services in the region.
• Review cost estimates and budgets for proposals.
• Ensure QA/QC compliance across projects.
• Promote safety culture and mentorship within the team.
• Identify opportunities for innovation and process improvements.
