Job summary

GHD in Durango, CO seeks an Environmental Field Technician to support remediation and O&M projects across the region. You will perform field sampling, collect data, and assist with site inspections on diverse job sites.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, 5+ years of environmental field experience, and a willingness to work overtime. Valid driver’s license and safety certifications are preferred; HAZWOPER is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required; college degree in environmental field is a plus.
• 5+ years of environmental field experience
• Good electrical and mechanical maintenance skills
• Willingness to perform field work
• Willingness to work overtime
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER certification is a plus

Responsibilities

• O&M of soil and groundwater remediation systems
• Mechanical, and electrical troubleshooting
• Data collection
• Site inspections and system performance sampling
• Equipment and chemical inventory
• Jobsite housekeeping
• Perform field sampling of soil, groundwater, surface water, sediment, vapor, etc.
• Collection of detailed field notes and oral communication
• Coordination with contractors and service providers and oversight of contractor activities
• Provide support and oversight to other field activities as needed
• Coordination with project team, local stakeholders, and client
