Job summary

Clean Harbors in Forest Lake, MN is seeking an Environmental Field Chemist (CleanPack Chemist) to handle, segregate, pack, and inspect chemical waste following all regulations. This entry-level role operates both indoors and outdoors at plants, labs, and customer sites, and includes lab moves and HHW collections.

The position is customer facing, with daily site work across multiple locations and potential for growth into management after training.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver's license required.
• Strong customer service skills expected.
• CDL Class B with hazmat and tanker endorsement to be obtained within 6 months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety first by following all policies and procedures.
• Prepare packing lists, labels, manifests and disposal notifications.
• Inspect storage areas, drums and labeling for compliance.
• Package waste chemicals for disposal at customer sites and facilities.
• Perform tasks at Clean Harbors customer locations including Fortune 500 companies.
• Oversee project prep and adherence to OSHA, EPA, and DOT rules.
• Operate vehicles safely in line with DOT and local regulations.
• Assist with HHW collections and lab moves as needed.
