Clean Harbors in Roseville, MN is seeking an Environmental Center Chemist (CleanPack Chemist) to handle, segregate, pack, and inspect chemical waste at customer sites, indoors and outdoors, with a focus on safety and regulatory compliance.

This is a customer-facing, entry-level management path with paid training, and opportunities to advance within Clean Harbors. The role requires driving and will involve travel to customer sites, with the Academy training out-of-state as needed.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver’s license.
• CDL Class B with hazmat and tanker endorsement within 6 months.
• Background check, drug test, and physical required.
• Must meet OSHA respirator facial hair standards.
• College degree in Chemistry or Natural Science.
• Experience in Environmental Services.

Responsibilities

• Handle, segregate, pack, and inspect chemical waste for disposal.
• Prepare packing lists, labels, and disposal notifications.
• Inspect staging areas, storage drums, and labeling for compliance.
• Package waste chemicals safely to maximize efficiency and compliance.
• Perform tasks at Clean Harbors customer locations and sites (indoors/outdoors).
• Ensure final project preparation and shipment complies with OSHA, EPA, DOT policies.
