Job summary

Clean Harbors is seeking an Environmental Field Chemist (CleanPack Chemist) to handle and package chemical waste at customer sites, indoors and outdoors. You will inspect drums, prepare packing lists, and ensure regulatory compliance while traveling to facilities daily.

An entry level management path and extensive training are offered, with strong emphasis on safety and customer service. Preferred candidates have a chemistry or natural science background and may need CDL B hazmat within 6

Qualifications

• Required: valid driver's license and strong customer service skills.
• By position, obtain CDL Class B with hazmat and tanker endorsement within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Handle, segregate, pack, and inspect chemical waste per regulations.
• Prepare packing lists, labels, and manifests for disposal.
• Inspect areas for cleanliness and compliance at customer sites.
• Operate vehicle in compliance with DOT and safety rules.
• Support lab packing and HHW collection tasks as needed.
• Ensure safe handling and accurate documentation for shipments.
