Job summary

Clean Harbors in Roseville, MN seeks an Environmental Center Chemist (CleanPack Chemist) to handle, segregate, pack, and inspect chemical waste per regulations. This is a customer-facing role working at customer sites, indoors and outdoors, with paid training.

Entry-level management potential is highlighted; 18–36 months of training may lead to a salary management track. Travel to multiple sites is expected and benefits begin after 30 days of employment.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and ability to pass background checks and drug tests.
• CDL Class B with hazmat and tanker endorsement within 6 months.
• Ability to perform physical functions as required.
• Compliance with OSHA respiratory protection standards.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Health and Safety is the top priority and follow safe work practices.
• Prepare packing lists, labels, manifests, and land disposal notifications.
• Inspect staging areas for housekeeping and compliance.
• Inspect drums for leaks, labeling, and shippability.
• Package waste chemicals for disposal and maximize efficiency.
• Perform shipments at customer locations and ensure regulatory compliance.
