Job summary

Clean Harbors in Woods Cross UT is seeking an Environmental Field Chemist (CleanPack Chemist) to handle, segregate, pack, and inspect chemical waste at customer sites and our facilities. This entry level, field-facing role involves lab packs, HHW collections, and lab moves, and it is not a laboratory position.

The role requires a Class B CDL with hazmat/tanker endorsements (on hire), travel up to two days per week, and a two-week onboarding training academy.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver’s license required.
• Strong customer service skills essential.
• Per OSHA literacy: background check, drug test, and medical/physical as per position.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Health and Safety is the priority and follow safe work practices.
• Prepare packing lists, labels, manifests, and land disposal restriction notifications.
• Inspect storage areas and drums for leaks, spills, and labeling compliance.
• Package and ship waste chemicals per policies; perform site work at customer locations.
