Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an Environmental, Water Resources, or Civil Engineering Intern to join the team and gain hands-on experience on real-world water and infrastructure projects in Raleigh, NC. You will collaborate with industry-leading engineers on a diverse portfolio of municipal, federal, and industrial projects, supporting analyses, design, and reporting.

You will gain exposure to tools like ArcGIS, HEC-RAS, SWMM, CADD, and Excel while working with senior engineers and multidisciplinary

Qualifications

Currently enrolled and taking courses toward a Masters in Environmental, Civil, Chemical Engineering or a related engineering field is required.

Responsibilities

Research and evaluate engineering solutions to support project analyses, reporting and design.
Assist with the development of engineering calculations, technical reports, project documentation and presentations.
Gain hands-on experience using ArcGIS, HEC-RAS, SWMM, CADD, Excel and other engineering software.
Work alongside senior engineers and multidisciplinary teams to support project deliverables and solve engineering challenges.
Participate in team meetings and gain exposure to client and project interactions.
Assist with fieldwork and construction management activities, providing a firsthand look at projects throughout the full project lifecycle.
