Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an entry-level Environmental, Water Resources, or Civil Engineer to join the Water Services Group. You will support design and implementation of water and wastewater facilities, sewer systems, and pipelines under supervision, ensuring compliance with standards and client specs.

You’ll gain hands-on experience in site assessments, modeling, and report writing, with opportunities to use ArcGIS, HEC-RAS, SWMM, CADD, and Excel, plus potential fieldwork across project lifecycles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental or Chemical Engineering or related discipline.
• 0 years. Domestic and/or international travel may be required.
• Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities

• Support the design and implementation of water and wastewater treatment facilities, sewer systems, pipelines, and associated infrastructure.
• Operate under direct supervision to ensure designs meet client specifications and regulatory standards.
• Conduct site assessments and adjust design parameters as needed; perform water quality analyses and modeling.
• Contribute to technical report preparation, documentation, and client presentations.
• Assist in creating documents and presentations using ArcGIS, HEC-RAS, SWMM, CADD, Excel; participate in fieldwork as needed.
