Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an entry-level Environmental, Water Resources, or Civil Engineer to join our Water Services Group. This role offers early-career professionals the opportunity to apply engineering skills to sustainable water projects while building technical expertise within a collaborative team.

You will support planning, design, and implementation of water and wastewater facilities, sewer systems, pipelines, and related infrastructure, with exposure to fieldwork and project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental or Chemical Engineering or related discipline.
• 0 years of experience; travel may be required.
• Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities

• Support site assessments, field investigations, and project studies.
• Assist with design development and adjust design parameters based on project requirements and field findings.
• Perform water quality analyses, hydraulic and hydrologic modeling, and other engineering analyses.
• Prepare technical reports, project documentation, presentations, and other deliverables for client meetings and industry conferences.
• Use tools such as ArcGIS, HEC-RAS, SWMM, CADD, Excel, and other engineering software to support project design and analysis.
• Office and in-field coordination to support regional lead service line rehabilitation projects.
• Participate in fieldwork and construction management activities, providing exposure to projects throughout the full project lifecycle.
