Burns & McDonnell in Chicago, IL is seeking an Environmental Engineering Intern to support project teams across our Environmental Services market. You will assist with data entry, documentation, presentations, and analysis, under the supervision of lead engineers.

Candidates should be pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science or related field, with a minimum 3.0 GPA preferred, and demonstrated involvement on campus or in the community.

Qualifications

  • Pursuit of a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science or related field required.
  • Prior internship or related consulting experience preferred.
  • Active campus or community involvement preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical abilities.
  • Strong MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Self-motivated with eagerness to learn and grow.
  • Ability to work in a team and assist with various project duties.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with filing, scanning, data entry, documentation and PowerPoint presentations.
  • Assist with responses to general questions.
  • Participate in continuous improvement by collecting and analyzing data.
  • Present solutions to project concerns.
  • Research solutions to project concerns and recommend fixes.
  • Assist with ad hoc projects as assigned by managers.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Complies with policies and standards.
