Job summary

Burns & McDonnell is seeking an Engineering Intern in Kansas City, MO. You will assist with environmental engineering tasks, support lead engineers, and engage in project duties across market segments.

The candidate should be pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Environmental or Chemical Engineering, with ABET preference, strong communication and analytical skills, and basic MS Office experience. The program offers 401(k) eligibility and sick leave, with US work authorization required.

Qualifications

• Pursuit of a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
• ABET accreditation strongly preferred.
• Prior internship or related experience is a plus.
• Active campus or community involvement is desirable.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with filing, scanning, data entry and PowerPoint presentations.
• Assist with responses to general questions and ad hoc projects.
• Collect and analyze data to support continuous improvement.
• Present solutions to concerns and research project-related problems.
• Support lead engineers with various project duties.
