Job summary

Kingfisher Recruiting is seeking a Plant Environmental Specialist for a large union manufacturing site in Michigan. The role focuses on ensuring compliance across water, wastewater, stormwater, and other environmental programs while supporting the site EHS team.

You will develop processes, coach operators, and coordinate sampling and reporting to federal, state, and local agencies. A BS in a related technical field and at least two years of plant environmental experience are required.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of plant environmental experience.
• Bachelor of Science in a related technical field is required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain processes to ensure permit/regulatory compliance.
• Coach and mentor line personnel in environmental responsibilities.
• Compile and submit environmental reports to Federal, State and Local Regulatory Agencies.
• Coordinate all Environmental sampling, reporting and follow-up.
• Prepare and submit required reports and associated recordkeeping.

Job description

Must have at least (2) years of plant environmental experience and a Bachelor of Science in related technical field only!

Manage environmental issues, regulatory reports and permits as related with a focus on either water/wastewater/stormwater compliance or waste/SPCC/Chemical Management.

Position will be a member of the site EHS team, report into the Plant EHS Manager and support environmental compliance activities for a large, union manufacturing plant.

Key Responsibilities of this position include:

• Develop and maintain processes and systems to ensure compliance with permits and regulation.
• Coach and mentor line personnel in the execution of their environmental accountabilities.
• Compile and submit required environmental reports to Federal, State and Local Regulatory Agencies.
• Coordinates all Environmental sampling, reporting and follow-up;
• Preparation and submission of required reports and associated recordkeeping.
