Job summary

Management Performance Associates seeks an Environmental Compliance Specialist for a major, union manufacturing plant in Muskegon, MI. The role focuses on regulating environmental issues and ensuring regulatory permits are properly managed.

You will be part of the site EHS team, reporting to the Plant EHS Manager and supporting compliance activities across water, wastewater, stormwater, or waste management streams.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 2 years of plant environmental experience.
• Bachelor of Science in related technical field required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain processes and systems to ensure compliance with permits and regulation.
• Coach and mentor line personnel in the execution of their environmental accountabilities.
• Compile and submit required environmental reports to Federal, State and Local Regulatory Agencies.
• Coordinates all Environmental sampling, reporting and follow-up.
• Preparation and submission of required reports and associated recordkeeping.

Manage environmental issues, regulatory reports and permits as related with a focus on either water/wastewater/stormwater compliance or waste/SPCC/Chemical Management.

Position will be a member of the site EHS team, report into the Plant EHS Manager and support environmental compliance activities for a large, union manufacturing plant.

Key Responsibilities of this position include:
