You will guide staff, review decisions, ensure compliance with environmental rules, and coordinate with federal, state, and local partners to safeguard waterways and communities in southwestern Pennsylvania.

Telework options may be available part-time, subject to policy and location.

Qualifications

• Two years as an Environmental Engineer or an Air Quality Engineer, or five years of professional engineering experience in environmental protection.
• Valid PA Professional Engineer license or a license from another state.
• PA non-commercial Class C driver's license required.
• Out-of-state PE holders must obtain PA license within six months.
• PA residency requirement waived for this title.

Responsibilities

• Lead, train, and guide engineering and scientific staff while organizing and delegating work.
• Review permit applications, workload distribution, and records of decision.
• Provide engineering advice and direction on rules, policies, and technical requirements.
• Participate in meetings with federal, state, and local partners.
• Provide information to operators, municipalities and the public and direct follow up actions.
• Monitor section goals, analyze workload data, and ensure timely processing of permits.
