Job summary

Packaging Corporation of America (PCA) offers an Environmental Engineering Co-op role designed to provide hands-on experience in environmental sampling, data management, and regulatory compliance within PCA’s multiple mill locations.

Qualified students must maintain a 3.0 GPA, be a permanent U.S. resident with a valid driver's license, and be majoring in Chemical, Civil, or Environmental Engineering or a related field with freshman year completed or in progress.

Qualifications

• GPA 3.0/4.0 minimum and must be a permanent U.S. resident with a valid driver's license.
• Major in Chemical, Civil, or Environmental Engineering or related field; freshman year completed or will be completed at time of co-op/internship.

Responsibilities

• Collect, analyze, and manage environmental samples including wastewater and stormwater; maintain lab equipment and update SOPs as needed.
• Maintain and improve environmental records and documentation for regulatory reports.
• Participate in projects related to wastewater treatment, landfill operations, residuals management, and compliance.
