Job summary

Packaging Corporation of America (PCA) is seeking an environmental engineering co-op at multiple U.S. mill locations, including Jackson, AL and other sites. The co-op requires a 3.0 GPA, U.S. residency, and enrollment in Chemical, Civil, or Environmental Engineering (freshman year completed or in progress).

Qualifications

• GPA 3.0/4.0 required for consideration.
• Must be a permanent U.S. resident with a valid driver’s license.
• Pursuing or having completed freshman year in Chemical, Civil, or Environmental Engineering or related field.

Responsibilities

• Collect, analyze, and manage environmental samples including wastewater and stormwater; maintain lab equipment and SOPs as needed.
• Maintain and update environmental records, emissions data, and regulatory reports.
• Contribute to projects related to wastewater treatment, landfill operations, residuals management, and regulatory compliance.
