Job summary

Packaging Corporation of America (PCA) is seeking an Environmental Co‑Op/Intern for hands‑on experience at PCA's mills and box plants. You will support environmental surveys, sample analysis, and documentation while learning about wastewater treatment and compliance.

Ideal candidates are engineering majors with a 3.0+ GPA, US residency, and a drive to contribute to sustainable operations. The position includes travel to PCA locations and a 75% travel expectation.

Qualifications

• GPA 3.0/4.0 or higher required.
• Permanent U.S. resident with valid driver's license.
• Pursuing or completed freshman year in relevant engineering field.

Responsibilities

• Visit mill and box plant sites to assist with environmental surveys and audits.
• Collect and analyze environmental samples (wastewater, stormwater) and manage SOPs.
• Maintain environmental records and documentation systems.
• Participate in projects related to wastewater treatment and regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with site staff to ensure safe and compliant operations.
