Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an Environmental Data Management Discipline Leader to advance our environmental data practices across ESG programs. This national role drives defensible workflows, data validation, and analytics for project delivery and regulatory compliance.

You will guide EQuIS platform strategy, data governance, QA/QC workflows, and cross‑functional tool integration. You will mentor staff, build scalable standards, and collaborate with GIS, analytics, and field teams to deliver value for

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required with related experience in environmental data management.
Strong understanding of data governance, QA/QC, and data validation workflows.
Experience with EQuIS or similar platforms for data loading, validation, and reporting.

Responsibilities

Provide national leadership for environmental data management across ESG programs and promote consistent practices.
Develop data governance frameworks, SOPs, templates, and guidance documents for environmental data management.
Lead EQuIS-based data management including database strategy, loading, validation, and integration with reporting tools.
Advance defensible data validation and QA/QC workflows for multiple regulatory programs.
Support project startups by embedding data management requirements in scopes, budgets, and schedules.
Coordinate analytics and visualization integration with dashboards, GIS, and automated reporting.
Promote field data acquisition automation and real‑time data availability.
Oversee development of discipline IP, training materials, and staff development pathways.
Collaborate across units to align data workflows with enterprise systems and strategy.
