Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking an Environmental Construction Program Manager to oversee environmental compliance during data center construction and coordinate with AWS teams, Real Estate, Legal, Risk, and Operations.

You will develop site-specific development strategies, manage CWA 404 and NPDES permitting, and lead regulatory agency interactions to ensure timely, compliant project delivery.

Qualifications

• 5+ years delivering multi-media environmental due diligence, permitting, and compliance.
• Experience with CWA 404 and NPDES permitting and groundwater protection.
• Knowledge of wetlands, endangered species, and cultural resource evaluations.

Responsibilities

• Partner with AWS stakeholders to develop site-specific development strategies for construction and operation of AWS data centers and infrastructure.
• Provide environmental technical assistance and risk management support to Regional Environmental Engineers and Construction Managers.
• Promote and manage environmental compliance throughout construction across all applicable media (wetlands, stormwater, groundwater protection).
• Prepare for data center operations in partnership with Regional Environmental Engineers, ensuring smooth handoff from construction to operational compliance.
• Engage with internal teams and external regulators, consultants, and contractors throughout construction.
