GAI Consultants, Inc. seeks an Environmental Specialist 2 with experience in Permitting and Field Compliance, preferably based in Cranberry, PA; Homestead, PA; Bridgeport, WV; or Canton, OH, within our Energy Business Unit.

The role includes air permitting, SPCC planning, and E&S compliance for construction, with travel and independent field work across PA, WV, MD, VA, and OH. Strong regulatory knowledge and field reporting are essential.

Qualifications

• Approximately six years of experience with environmental permitting, reporting, and recordkeeping related to air and water quality.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and technical writing ability.
• Ability to utilize electronic location devices (GPS) to collect data tied to a project location.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and MS Office applications; familiar with report, database, and form completion.

Responsibilities

• Develop, review and understand regulations, specifications, compliance requirements and project deliverables.
• Air Permitting (Major and Minor Sources, synthetic minor, permit modifications).
• SPCC Planning and Erosion & Sediment Control (E&SC) compliance for construction projects.
• Perform in-field compliance with E&S controls on various projects and assist with monitoring reports.
