GAI Consultants Inc. located in Cranberry Township is seeking an Environmental Specialist skilled in Permitting and Field Compliance. This position offers a unique chance to work on air and water quality projects across multiple states, primarily in Pennsylvania.

Qualifications

• Minimum of an Associates degree from an accredited college with an environmental/science focus.
• Approximately six to ten years of experience with environmental permitting, reporting, and recordkeeping.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and technical writing ability.
• Ability to utilize electronic location devices (such as a GPS) to collect data tied to a project location.
• Candidate must be proficient in using Microsoft (MS) Word, Excel, and MS Office applications.
• A valid driver's license along with ability to pass required screening to drive a GAI vehicle.
• Must be flexible. Travel will be expected as part of this position.

Responsibilities

• Review and understand specifications, permits, and conditions for air and water quality projects.
• Assist with environmental reporting and recordkeeping related to projects.
• Prepare and review periodic monitoring reports based on field observations.
• Assist with the preparation of environmental requests such as wetland delineation reports.
• Perform in-field assistance with E&S controls on various types of construction projects.
• Adhere to Health and Safety requirements of GAI Consultants.
