Job summary

Marathon Petroleum Company LP seeks an environmental professional to develop and implement company policies to assure regulatory conformance in a heavy industrial setting. You will provide guidance, develop programs, and monitor compliance while supporting budget planning and reporting.

The role requires strong knowledge of environmental rules, collaboration with senior leadership, and the ability to train staff on environmental procedures and permits. Catlettsburg, KY, is the primary location.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 15 years of relevant environmental experience in a process industry or a technical degree with significant experience.
• Knowledge of current environmental rules and ability to communicate impact plans to leadership for budget development.
• Ability to review designs to ensure compliance with environmental regulations.

Responsibilities

• Interprets and develops environmental policies and guidelines and implements conformance programs.
• Designs/reviews environmental equipment or systems and determines specifications.
• Identifies and investigates environmental issues and communicates with senior management.
• Keeps abreast of legislation and regulatory actions; assists with impact assessment and permits.
• Develops environmental documentation, training materials, and programs; conducts trainings.
• Represents the company with trade associations and regulatory agencies; supports Government Affairs.
• Maintains professional expertise to meet company expectations and perform technical assignments.
