Marathon Petroleum Corporation invites qualified students to join our environmental internships and co-ops in Findlay, Ohio, where you work alongside experienced professionals on real projects across Refining, Midstream, and related services.

You will develop and apply environmental policies, participate in training, and gain hands-on experience in Health, Environmental, Safety & Security (HES&S) topics, with opportunities for multiple terms and on-site full-time hours.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Environmental Science.
• Concurrent enrollment in a Bachelor's degree seeking program for the duration of the internship experience.
• Strong academic performance.
• Available to work on site 40 hours per week.
• Must be able to safely ascend/descend stairs and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Valid driver's license for work-related travel.
• Authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship now or in the future.
• Available for multiple work terms preferred.
• MIN - $24.09 per hour / MAX - $43.23 per hour

Responsibilities

• Interpret and/or develop Company environmental policies and guidelines; develop methods and procedures for implementing and assuring conformance.
• Provide guidance and technical assistance in organizing and establishing programs and procedures to implement and administer requirements, including budget inputs; monitor compliance with these policies in assigned areas and direct reports and recommendations to appropriate personnel.
• Design and/or review engineering designs and cost estimates for environmental equipment/systems; determine engineering specifications and recommend equipment, as required.
• Identify and investigate current and developing environmental problems or issues to determine cause and contributory circumstances; initiate steps to prevent recurrences; provide recommendations with appropriate personnel and communicate to senior management.
• Keep abreast of environmental legislation, regulatory agency actions, and international standards; develop/assist with impact assessments; obtain permits as required.
• Develop environmental information, manuals, training material and programs; inform employees of related policies and procedures; conduct training sessions.
