Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking an Environmental Services Compliance Manager to support management, analysis, and reporting to assure compliance with Ryder environmental policies in supply chain services, including warehousing and crossdocking operations.

This role leads environmental controls to reduce risk and improve compliance. The position emphasizes hazardous materials storage, regulatory adherence, and collaboration with stakeholders from RFP to steady-state operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or 5+ years related experience.
• Master's degree in Environmental Science or related field preferred.
• 5+ years progressively responsible position in environmental field in a corporate setting.
• 5+ years experience with hazardous materials storage and transportation preferred.
• Knowledge of Environmental Laws impacting transportation and logistics industries.

Responsibilities

• Perform environmental due diligence assessments for new supply chain opportunities from RFP issuance to Go Live.
• Stay current with local, state and federal environmental regulations related to emissions, waste and hazmat management.
• Provide day-to-day compliance support to warehouse and cross-docking facilities, including audits.
• Develop and implement environmental training tools for waste management, spill response, regulatory reporting and related requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
