Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. seeks an Environmental Services Compliance Manager to support management, analysis and reporting ensuring adherence to environmental policies across supply chain services, including warehousing and crossdocking.

The role collaborates with stakeholders from RFP to steady-state operations and focuses on hazardous materials controls to mitigate risk and improve compliance. Responsibilities include regulatory monitoring, facility audits, and development of training tools for waste

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or five years related experience with regulatory, corporate consulting, finance or transportation setting.
• Master's degree preferred Environmental Science or related field.
• Five years or more progressive environmental experience in a large corporate setting with regulatory emphasis.
• Experience with hazardous materials storage and transportation preferred.
• Familiarity with Environmental Laws impacting transportation and logistics.

Responsibilities

• Performs environmental due diligence assessments from RFP to Go Live ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.
• Stays current with local, state and federal environmental regs affecting stationary emissions and waste/hazmat mgmt.
• Provides day-to-day compliance support to warehouse and cross-docking facilities and coordinates audits.
• Develops and implements environmental training tools for waste management, spill response and regulatory reporting.
