Shenandoah National Park in Stanley, VA is seeking an Environmental Manager to oversee the site environmental program, ensure compliance with government contracts, and lead ISO audits toward site certifications.

You will train site teams, coordinate audits, and drive environmental initiatives while maintaining safety and regulatory standards in a full-time, year-round role reporting to the Director of Risk & Safety in the Operations department.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in science or related field.
• Three (3) or more years in environmental protection and/or research.
• Resort/National Park experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Oversee environmental program and compliance with government contracts.
• Manage ISO audits to achieve site certifications.
• Communicate with General Manager and Director of Risk & Safety on status of environmental program.
• Train site teams on environmental and safety commitments.
• Prepare, implement and maintain environmental project plans.
• Ensure documents and records align with company processes.
• Coordinate permit renewals and regulatory compliance across sites.
• Lead programs to reduce environmental damage and waste.
• Promote a safe work environment following all safety procedures.
• Understand ISO (Environmental & Quality) management systems and responsibilities.
• Perform other duties as requested.
