Job summary

Wayne Farms LLC is seeking a Complex Environmental Manager to oversee environmental compliance and sustainability efforts across our poultry processing complex. You will implement permits, train staff, and coordinate with the Corporate Environmental Compliance team to ensure regulatory adherence for the facility.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Environmental Sciences/Engineering or equivalent, with at least three years’ experience in environmental compliance in a food production or wastewater

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Sciences/Engineering or equivalent; substitution with 10 years related experience allowed.
• Minimum three years in environmental compliance within food production or wastewater treatment environments.
• Strong knowledge of environmental standards and permitting processes.

Responsibilities

• Oversee wastewater, storm water, SPCC, air emissions, hazardous materials handling, and solid waste to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Develop and deliver training on permits, programs, and environmental initiatives to plant personnel.
• Schedule all environmental tasks using computerized systems and maintain proper records.
• Coordinate with Corporate Environmental Manager and regulators to ensure permit compliance and applications.
• Engage with local, state, and federal authorities as liaison for environmental permitting.
• Provide expertise and support for environmental projects across locations.
