Job summary

Wayne-Sanderson Farms seeks a Complex Environmental Manager to oversee environmental compliance and sustainability across its poultry operations in Louisiana. You will work with the Corporate Environmental Compliance team to implement permits, training, and programs at the complex, including wastewater, air emissions, and hazardous materials handling.

You will lead cross-location projects, coordinate with regulators, develop staff training, and promote safety to maintain a zero-accident culture

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Sciences/Engineering from an accredited institution.
• GA Class III or higher in wastewater treatment or equivalent.
• Minimum three years in environmental compliance, preferably in food production or wastewater treatment.
• Strong leadership, policy adherence, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee wastewater, storm water, SPCC, air emissions, hazardous materials handling to ensure compliance with regulations.
• Schedule environmental tasks and maintain required records.
• Coordinate permit compliance with Corporate Environmental Manager and regulatory agencies.
• Develop relationships with local, state, and federal environmental authorities, acting as liaison.
• Provide support for environmental projects across locations.
• Promote safety and PPE usage to maintain a zero-accident culture.
