Job summary

Canacre is seeking an Environmental Compliance Inspector to monitor construction activities for adherence to SWPPP and environmental regulations in Oregon.

You will inspect sites, identify environmental hazards, coordinate mitigation with project teams, and report findings to the Environmental Compliance Manager. This role emphasizes collaboration with regulators and stakeholders, ensuring compliance through thorough documentation and timely corrective actions.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary degree in Environmental Science or related field.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in Environmental Management and SWPPP inspection.
• Minimum 1 year’s professional experience in utilities construction.
• Experience with NEPA or state-equivalent.
• Certifications such as CPESC/CESCL or NYSESCCP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor construction activities in environmentally sensitive areas.
• Inspect sites for SWPPP compliance with permits and regulations.
• Coordinate mitigation for environmental resources and restoration requirements.
• Serve as a resource to construction personnel on environmental regulations.
• Verify proper marking/flagging of work areas and coordinate with inspectors.
• Document daily reports and coordinate corrective actions.
